Noticeing Other Naturals

I was watching t.v and started looking to see how many women I could find with natural hair. Then it dawned on me I never noticed women with natural hair until I myself went natural. I wonder why that is? I guess it just means when I was relaxed I never judged other women by there hair texture. Might not seem like that big of a deal but its sad to know a lot of people actually do judged people by there hair texture.

Cute Simple Style For Your TWA

I styled my hair in a cute style today thanks to a fellow youtuber named BlackOnyx77. She made a vid showing her styleing her own hair and I loved how it came out so I decided to try it out. I am loveing it because it is so simple and cute. This is the link to BlackOnyx77's video of her doing a tutorial on the style http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LMeBk4RFk8

I FINALLY HAVE A GREAT CONDITIONER!

I finally have a great conditioner that keeps my hair super soft for days! I mixed Tresemme Moisture Rich with Essential Balms Honey and Jojoba Balm, and Extra Virgin Olive Oil. When I deep conditioned my hair over night my hair was so soft the next day and still is today without me adding anymore product to my hair. I am so happy I was able to make all these products that was not doing anything for my hair work for me.

I love how my daughter and I have nearly the same size fro! The first picture is how my hair looked after I washed, two strand twisted, then two strand twist out my hair useing the Essential Balms products. The bottom picture is how my hair looks with out those products.

Essential Balms Products

I recently bought these products off there site www.essentialbalms.com. They are all natural products that can be used on your hair and body some are even edible! For my hair I think most of the products are best for styling even tho some of them say they can be used as a conditioner. The shampoo is liquid black soap, it gets my hair squeaky clean so a good creamy conditioner is really needed afterwards. The other products are shea butter mixed with jojoba, some oils, and two thick conditioners made with honey and jojoba as well as other ingredients. So far I just used the conditioners to do styles like two strand twist and flat twist. I use the shea butter as a regular moisterizer as well as the oils. I am satisfied with these products but I think what would make them better is if they came with a real creamy wash out conditioner. I looove these products when I use them on my body they keep my skin sooo moisterized. So on a scale from 1-10 for my hair I give these products a 7. For my body I give them a 10.

I finally Co Washed!

My hair has been so dry these past few weeks so I have been trying everything I can to keep my hair moisterized. After watching more vids on youtube I soon realized that most other naturals did not shampoo there hair as often as I did. I shampoo my hair once a week! On there vids many naturals said they only shampooed about one a month and instead they did co washes ever two days. So I thought I would try this method and yesterday I did my first co wash. My hair felt moisterized after it air dryed but the real test for me is if it still feels moisterized the next morning and it did! Still following other naturals method I sprayed my hair with water and added a leave in conditioner (cantu shea butter). So far my hair feels very soft I am hopeing this method works for me because I was geting very frustrated with my hair. My curls are poping again so that is another plus. I can not wait until my hair gets to about shoulder lenth to see how my curls look then.

It Has Been Three Months Since My Big Chop!

It has been three months since my big chop and I gotta say in just three months I have had a lot of ups and downs. I have tried a lot of different products to name a few Komaza Care, Carol's Daughter, Cantu Shea Butter, and just recently ordered a package from Essential Organic Balms. And I gotta say I think I may have had the right products for my hair the first time. So far out of all the products I have tried only Komaza Care has left my hair soft and managble the way I love. So here I am stuck with all these other products that does nothing for my hair but I have to use them because with my husband being the only one that works while I am a stay at home mom I can not afford to just throw them all out and buy a new batch of Komaza Care. So what I am doing now is mixing and matching all the products to try and get them to work better for my hair so far its not working I am still left with dry hair even tho these products claim to moisterize. Another problem I am haveing is styling my TWA. At the lenth it is at now there is not much I can do with it (I have 3 1/2- 3inch of hair). I am not crazy about two strand twist on my hair because they stick up all over my head like little spikes, so I just wear two strand twist in the house. Other than that I have tried tiny box braids, two strand flat twist, and the wash and go look. The box braids come out O.K. but you can not really see the braided part just the ends so they just look like a bunch of curls. I love the two strand flat twist look on me. The wash and go look is not working so well anymore because it seems like the longer my hair gets the less of a curl definition I have, like my hair texture is changeing. So I am still learning about what works best for my hair as far as products and styleing I can not wait until I have it all down packed.
